I am who I am. If I find it difficult to accept myself, who am I to blame others for rejecting me? I write to untangle my thoughts when they get too knotty for me to make any sense. I like rhymes and rhythms even in their most abstract form. I am glad to have found WOL. It is inspiring to read others’ as well as share some of mine and receive their feedbacks.
Heal I am afraid to leave the room These days, because every turn I took yesterday was a wrong one. Every feet I traveled last Sunday Was full of sharp thorns and scrapes of metals. The gash on my left leg, red and swollen, Refuses to heal. I am afraid to utter a single word These days, because every sound I made yesterday, fell on deaf ears. Every sentence I meant last Sunday Was twisted and smashed with hatred and rage. The gaping wound on my heart, yellow and smelly, Refuses to heal.
