Biography

Hello, I live in Delaware and have been retired for nine years. About four months ago an awakening occurred inside of me and I began to write poetry. It was an enlightening experience because I had never embraced poetry, either to read or write. This new journey has allowed me to expand in ways I never have imagined. I have embraced this passion and hope to get some constructive feedback on my work from the experts on this site.

The Seed Cold winds cascade through the canyons, swirling in darkness, carrying the hope of life searching for warmth and a place to grow. The seed is ever vigilant, holding its requited hope that it will find shelter as the wind sows its small companions onto friendly fields or unforgiving pavement. You intoxicate me with your vibrant golden radiance, giving me life and warmth so I do not retreat into the darkness of this concrete crevasse. I embrace the light to awaken— a rebirth of spirit and color. I will be seen only by those who have vision through their heart. I will grow amidst the pounding footsteps of faceless wanderers scampering through their cycles of life. I will grow for my purpose. I will wait for my keeper. I will be your light in a broken and colorless world. Gather me and hold me close to your heart. Keep me pressed between the pages in the story of your life. Visit me, carry me, look upon me on your path ahead— see my now muted colors, my petals fading, but know the color in my heart is as bright as the day we first met. Bob Danieli 7/31/2026

Thank you Graham, I appreciate the encouragement. I'm sure I will continue to use this as a lesson guide for my emerging journey into poetry.
