I'm an artisan poet living in East Anglia. A frequent visitor to poetry gigs in Suffolk and north Essex, I'd welcome contact with other poets, particularly those in this area. I came late to writing poetry but now I write about what I see and also about what I feel, writing from the heart. Then, when my scribblings are finished, I throw them out to the world on my website [www.paxpoeticus.co.uk] hoping they will be of interest to somebody. I'm now up to 48 poems - I know that's not a lot for some people but I'm very suprised that I've lasted that long! I also run the monthly meeting of Poetry Plus, the poetry group in Manningtree, Essex.
Eight Lines on a Piece of Rock ----------------------------- Eight lines carved on a piece of rock Not by nature but by man. Cut deep and straight with love and care Engraved in to this sacred slab. Meaning lost from ancient time Some deep thought or vague idea Turned this stone to a work of art That speaks to me from ages past. 20.9.16
I am delighted to say that my first book of poems "An Early Spring Day" has now been published and is available to purchase from the Amazon bookstore: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1081316624 I would like to thank those many kind people who have encouraged me to scribble away over the last three years. Nothing would have been completed without your support. Thankyou!
