Biography
Master Po Known by his followers here at ‘WOL’ by his pen name ‘Po’. An abbreviation of Poemagraphic. Po lives in the South East of England in North Norfolk. He has been writing poetry since the early eighties. Po has made a life study and practice of meditation, which he started after becoming only the fourth person in the UK to attain a black belt in the Korean martial art of Hap-Ki-Do. He is also a Forth Degree Reiki Master Practitioner. Po has also studied Parapsychology; The study of mental phenomena that cannot be explained by known psychological or scientific principles, e.g. psychic ability, mediumship, extrasensory perception, remote viewing, etc. In the past he wrote and published several articles on the paranormal, including 'Seeing and sensing the Aura' 'How to develop mediumship' 'The differences between ghosts and spirits' 'The truths of hauntings and possessions'. Having studied parapsychology for over forty years he went on to appear on BBC ‘Look East Live’ and having his own weekly radio phone in and talk show on ‘Future Radio FM’. Plus, being a regularly contributor in the ‘Paranormal Norfolk’ magazine. Po is mediumistic, seeing, hearing and sensing those who have left this world behind. He has Conducting literally hundreds of private consultations and undertaken numerous ‘serious’ paranormal investigations throughout the South East of England. His experiences have been a great source of inspiration for much of his poetry. Please feel free to contact Po either here at WOL, or email: poemagraphic@poetic.com His sample ‘Cocooned’ below was the winning poem at the annual Reepham music festival.
Samples
Cocooned Finding new complexity in hand writing dexterity Searching for lost artistry in the guise of poetry At times the images so surreal, in my mind a cotton reel Unravels till a tangled thread weaves a web around my bed Then ‘Itsy Bitsy’ comes to call. Arachnophobia cause me to fall Awaking with a nasty bump, in my throat a ticking lump. As I yawn, a black widow falls and bites my naked toe. Then scampers off somewhere to hide… No antidote to be applied What will now become of me, and my newly found complexity? At the proverbial ‘curling up of toes’, ‘Itsy Bitsy’ runs up my nose, and proceeds to weave a silver thread, that leads me back into my bed A cobweb covered woven duvet, now shrouds a corpse when once I lay Po

You can talk to yourself
but I've learned
to not expect an intelligent reply.
wink!
Hi Po
Rhyme? is something of an auto-biographical account of my beginnings in writing some 12 years ago (very late starter), after the death of my first wife. It also highlights some of the snobbery that still survives in the literary world.
I truly appreciate your thoughts.
Pretty much the best I can offer anyone (after I've read a poem) is to press the 'Like' button. I never think that I have a platform from which to critique

Hi Jane
I love to go back over other poets stuff.
I find I spend more time reading others poems here than I do writing.
It is a great way to learn the way others put stuff together, and learn new ways to write rhyme and prose.
You may find that you like an individuals style or their topics.
Keep writing AND reading.

MC Thank you so much for this old friend.
The late great Michael Bentine had a very interesting life
He was in RAF and had so many experiences of a similar ilk.
At breakfast he would see the guys who would not return that day... their faces turned in to skulls.
That is truly the stuff of nightmares. Sad but true.
Also.. Air vice marshal Sir Hugh (Lord) Dowding had some very interesting sessions with Sir Winston Churchill
and a medium called Victoria Helen McCrae Duncan.
She was the last person to be imprisoned under the British Witchcraft Act of 1735.
She was a very interesting person, Her life story is an amazing read.
Hi Po (not meant to mean hypo! 😉) - it's good to know
there is a nucleus of folk on WOL who can use welcome
levity to lift the spirits when it's needed. You are one.
By the way, in view of your interests in such things, have you looked up the online references to the late Air Vice Marshal Sir Victor Goddard, a man of action and believer
in spiritual things. He had a number of experiences that
supported his belief in matters beyond our comprehension
and wrote books which included his accounts. A famous
example is the death of a close friend when he was the
only witness and was later astounded to have a medium
tell him things only HE (Goddard) could have known of his friend's passing. He was also witness to a "slip in time" incident when flying over Scotland before WW2 and
seeing, through a break in a storm cloud, an air field
with 'planes that hadn't been invented and ground-crew
wearing apparel that hadn't been adopted at that time.
An extraordinary man who lived an extraordinary life.
Good luck!

Costa Lot has a background noise of a coffee shop.
I have converted my caravan in to a recording studio.
I have set up my keyboard and video camera with a separate mic to get cleaner sound recordings.
I have started to experiment with some new software which is quite a steep learning curve.
Both video and sound software and another version of PhotoShop.
Plus 'Crazy Talk' all of which I have great plans for this year Do.

Do I am so excited about the idea to get a women to narrate the poem 'Out of his reach'
I will post a request for some help in that endeavour.
It is going to lose the impact if I read it myself.

The list of poets I follow is growing longer as I find 'new poets' that are just starting out and some long time members of the great and good here at WOL.
Reading other poets musings (and recordings) is a great way to pass away a cold rainy day... or evening when their is nothing to watch on old brain sapping box.
There is some great talent here, I enjoy reading the comments sometimes more than the actually poem they refer to.
I spend more time reading than writing and posting here that's for certain.
Thank you to each and every poster here on my profile,
especially the new members.

I am finding solace in your words Big Guy.
We need to understand the power we have as poets Right Here... Right Now!
If my car needed repair I would go to the garage
If I have toothache I go to the dentist
If I need help with my up and coming poetic musings and 'getting out there' I seek advice from poets and artists that have already done it, who can speak from experience.
We must never be afraid to ask for help.
Colluding with other poets can only be a good thing.
Sadly I feel some fear that their stuff will be drowned, or diluted sinking into obscurity whilst the other partner gains all the glory.
In any relationship it must be give and take. 'Just giving or just taking' will not ultimately help either party.

Dear Po, your poem who am i as a reply to my comment is quite interesting and good. Post it on your blog but change the last two lines with something else.
I got the clue, so don't worry. I love your poems and that is what is more important.

Let's hope it's not just a vanity press.
And beware of the slimy, scummy offers to publish for a 'nominal fee' which usually adds up to at least $2,000 minimum, plus a professional copyedit which is $1,200 at the cheapest I could find.
Small-time authors need to help each other more if they are to be successful. It's this holding the cards against chests that keeps lids shut tight and doors slammed.
The more we help each other, the bigger this community will become, and we may actually carve out a market all our own instead of piggybacking off just straight literature or books in general.
Here's to your first book.🎊
