Biography
I’ve been writing poetry since I was a child. I’ll probably write poetry until the day I’m no longer in this realm.

Deep in the chambers beneath conscious thought something is waiting that reason forgot Ancient and restless it watches alone gnawing at logic and calling it home It feeds on the fiction you’re willing to hear fattens on hatred and seasons with fear Give it a falsehood repeated as fact it learns your weakness and waits to attack Soon every shadow has something to hide every suspicion feels righteous inside The inkblot is spreading across what you see until every stranger becomes an enemy You swear you’re thinking you believe you’re free yet something imprisoned is holding the key Once you’ve swallowed the lies you were fed it no longer whispers from under the bed It sits at the table and speaks in your name turning your reason to kindling and flame Then fear becomes virtue and hatred makes sense the prisoner walks out at reason’s expense You thought you’d freed it from darkness and pain until you discovered you are wearing its chain
