Biography

Hello there, I am Joel Hagen. I am new to actually publishing poems anywhere, but I've been working on how to write them for the past 17 years. One thing important to know about me is that I am a nice man now after going through hard work to get my life back from depression. I am emotional, my poems are emotional, everything I write has a meaning, even if I don't know what it is sometimes. All I hope is that you like stuff that's about winning the war against yourself.

Old Man: When I was a young man I didn't see a change When I was a lover man I didn't know of the breeze And what it'd mean But there's a feeling Something you gave away When all the light inside Has gone to Heaven And the Hell you dreamed of Never came to pass What would you say? If all your life All your life You could see See The light from the moon The moon The moon is calling you Will you answer her call? In doomed highs and tragic lows I could be an old man I could be an old man I could be... An old man...

brother, i did not mean to offend you. i was not attacking or questioning the work you've put in. i've never heard a therapist say anything like that before and i work exclusively with people that have mental/behavioral health issues. i am certain you've put in hella work! i am into year three of trauma therapy and i no longer live in depression. i get it. also, it's okay that i don't have the same opinion as you. i mean you nor the work you've put in any disrespect and truly have been enjoying the friendship started here. i am sorry that i upset you. i soeak frankly to everyone. bro, i'm a sociopath. i just speak my mind plainly. it breaks my heart to think that i've lost a friend over a misunderstanding.
