The Algea

A sense of belonging that’s foreign to me. To be able to feel the warmth of love would bring a sense of glee, But anyone I’ve grown close to seems to flee. Left tortured with abandonment creating emotional ripples. All while leaving my heart warped and feeling brittle. Losing hope in my dear Lord little by little.

I'm following your stricture about not commenting on your poetry,
replying here to your own response on WOL to my comments about the tragedy you refer to in your lines for "280 characters".
It is disappointing that my call for a cool headed dispassionate
response should see you refer to me as a "coloniser" -
whatever that means in this context. The media and the mob are
the least reliable of bedfellows, with the former seeking a "story"
which can take precedence over the facts (these can always be
corrected or added later) whilst the latter is ready to be primed
with an excuse to trash the neighbourhood..seen again here..
Quite how either can be trusted to contribute towards social cohesion and the proper regard for enuuiry into guilt or innocence
in individual circumstances is never answered.
Good luck with your poetry.

Thank you for your support and readings.

Your style strikes me as a mix between Japanese, Spanish, and English poetry all in one. Too many to hold it down.

Keep writing beautifully and reading liberally.?

You still here Charlotte? Do you have some more gems to share with us? Your style is evocative, well-written, and interesting so I felt the urge to ask. . . Worth a shot.
