My name is Ceilidh Devine; my name is pronounced Kayleigh, I have a lot of trouble with the pronunciation as I spell my name the Gaelic way. I come from a small town in England, Northamptonshire called Corby. I am 26 years old. I have known since I was at secondary school that one day I would be a writer. Words come easy to me, my imagination is powerful and my creativity is outstanding. I have always been able to write poems, in a matter of minutes, as words are constantly circling around in my mind. I have been able to do this, since the day I could write. I have written my collection of poetry as I can take any object, emotion or place and create a beautiful imaginative poem. Up until this present time, I have kept my poetry to myself; however I now have the self belief and confidence to share my work with the populace. My collection of poetry has come from my own mind and how I see and feel love. The collection has been written as my head is that of a true romantic, I gaze to the stars in the evening and I see the beauty of the dark lite up sky. I as a person notice everything and I use what I can see, with the words that are created in my mind and I produce the most sensational poetry.
Being There When the sun shines and the warmth is on your skin That’s when you’ll feel me When the wind blows and the leafs rustle That’s when you’ll hear me When the star’s shine bright in the night sky That’s when you will see me Be Who You Are Never forget who you are or who you set out to be Only your mind can conquer the tides and mountains Only you can make life worth living Only your being can witness joy And only You can find happiness and never let it go The Boy The boy with the broken heart He hides in the corner With his head in his hands His mind is full of hurt and loss His face shows the pain His being makes for a clean break He leaves in the day No one came He left his message On the wall For all passer bys too see The wall stood tall The words were so bold and strong They read... While you were pleading I was bleeding While you played I lay here dead My heart is forever broken As you said I was your love and I would never be lost Those words were lies I’m nothing but a fool who’s been caught in the love game....
