Biography

I enjoy writing and since my sister recommended me to this site I have been writing more, and enjoying browsing through the poetry in the hope that I may improve my own skills in writing. I am a student of psychology, and find the links between poetry and psychology fascinating.

I once wandered lonely as a cloud, through reams of Wordswoth's poetry, I studied, Byron, Blake and Keats, waded through the birds, and flowers and Tygers burning bright. Until one day I stood up proud And thought, this could be me! Be real! They laughed, a poet? You? Not in a million years. Don't even waste the many hours and thought, and sweat, and tears. I sat and thought, they may be right. A Poet? Maybe, I'll never be, but now I know that I can write, and to be a poet is not to be a poet in disguise and hide your work from scrutinous eyes and fear the criticising minds. But, to be a poet is to be a person in disguise. A chance escape from the reality, and brutality of life.
