We’re excited, it’s happening….
Aftershock Takeover!!!
Join us for the exciting launch of The Aftershock Review's Issue Two at Waterside Arts Centre on 17th Nov!
“A jolt to the mainstream.” — The Guardian
“A raft... no other magazine addresses our ills so candidly.” — Pascale Petit
Join us for the official launch of Issue Two of The Aftershock Review — Britain’s most talked-about new poetry movement.
If Issue One named the damage , Issue Two maps the fragments that remain — and the strange architectures they make. Across thirteen astonishing sections, this new issue charts survival in its most volatile forms — from political collapse to personal resurrection, from Poundland Sublime to Bad-Ass Uterus .
Expect an evening of electrifying live poetry, featuring readings from contributors and special guests such as Oliver James Lomax, Suzi Feay, Jazmine Linklater, Dr Anna Percy and Max Wallis with more to be announced plus the first chance to pick up your copy of the new issue.
Founded in Lancashire and shaped by a queer, disabled, and neurodivergent editor, The Aftershock Review is more than a magazine — it’s a community built on radical care and creative defiance.
Made from bed. Built by community. Sustained by Arts Council England.
With gratitude to the T. S. Eliot Foundation.
