Poem for review?
Jung hearts run free (Inspired by pp187/8 of Jung’s dreams)
All those musings about masculinity,
Thoughts of a brighter future while around me
Peat bog politicians, mummified by their immersion in
Acidic anger that motivates the most
Bitter and dissonant voters
Remind me that what we can be is not a
Guarantee of what we will become.
For every man of good intentions
Their Tollund is waiting, anticipating the
Missed step, the moment when they choose the
Acid bath, convinced their purpose remains
Pure, that others deserve the plait of leather that
Will silence them for ever, but the
Bog preserves their errors and offers them up to the peatcutters.
All those musings about masculinity,
Thoughts of a brighter future while around me
Peat bog politicians, mummified by their immersion in
Acidic anger that motivates the most
Bitter and dissonant voters
Remind me that what we can be is not a
Guarantee of what we will become.
For every man of good intentions
Their Tollund is waiting, anticipating the
Missed step, the moment when they choose the
Acid bath, convinced their purpose remains
Pure, that others deserve the plait of leather that
Will silence them for ever, but the
Bog preserves their errors and offers them up to the peatcutters.

The discussion forums aren't generally the best place for posting poems, Gareth. Much better to post them on the poetry blogs. More people will see them there. See Make Blog Entry on your profile page.
