A ghostly image of a soldier
stood in the background,
the scent of lilac's filled the air
even though it was winter.
A Mother with a babe in her
arms stood by a grave site.
Lilac's were the flowers her
husband had given her before
he left for war. So she
felt his presence.
She whispered, "Father this

The Price
The price of freedom
is it to much to pay.
To allow someone to come ashore
to live another day.
Allow these people to some dignity
and have a chance at a decent life.
They've suffered enough
they've had enough strife.

The Tall Green Grass
The wild colt enjoyed
galloping through
the tall green grass.
One day he was captured
and made a beast of
burden. He worked in the
field and pulled the wagon,
but he longed for
