Forest Bathing

Back against bark

Legs touching roots

Sat in near dark

Searching out truths

Outstretching arms

Reaching for branches

Splinters of wood

Scratch at my wrists

Bird song so sweet

Echoes my ears

Wisdom of tree

Finger and thumb

Wrapped around

A pen

Wrote a few words

Full stopped.

Then started again

The greatness of those blades of grass

That grow beneath our feet
