A Solitary Path of Discovery
Do I become what I see —
or do the visions become me?
I paint what rises in my mind,
a wondrous rendering of life
that feels half-imagined,
half-remembered.
Sometimes I sense spirits
moving at the edges of perception,
guiding me toward realms
not yet revealed.
For to live is to think,
and to dream is to wonder.

The Mist Between Us
Thoughts of a life lived
have grown dark and cloudy.
The river knows my sins,
yet it does not wash me clean
enough to begin again.
Its waters move slowly now,
wandering through muddy channels,
releasing fragments of the past
gathered over so many years.
Visions of my thoughts dissolve
into ancient stillness
fading to dust
and blowing across the waters
...
