TRUTH PROWLS

Bedraggled and lonely

Gently gnawing nails

they sit on a heap of refuse

THEY — called by many

A wacky tale-bearer

Now

The cord of time stretches

Speech is let loose

PULSATIONS

Images of you salute my sight

Scampering before the cool breath

Of the whispering sea

Amid feasts on maiden-heads

Black clouds descend the threshold of peace

Black clouds everywhere

The gar...

TOMORROW WILL NEVER COME

entry picture

I speak of a past which is not past

I speak of things not past

I speak of a past made present

By the ugliness that now defines us

I speak of yesterday which is not past

I speak of things not past

I speak of today

Not present but past made present

By the plague that now afflicts us

I speak of a past which is not past

I speak of things not past

OUR EYES ARE WATCHING GOD

entry picture

Our eyes are watching god
As he pens grand plans
For his generations unborn
Taking care to heap notes
While his eraser furiously
Assaults our little designs
For a life of near-content

Our eyes are watching god
As he stands to be counted
A healthy nation
While within him lies
The sickness that has for so long
Characterized our piteous lives

Our eyes are watching god
As he do...
