My leg drags, boulders batter boots;
too many hours indoors. The choice I made.
Stumbling down treacherous rocks, stiff knee,
beneath Peveril’s dark ramparts. Tougher
companions debate the Romano-Britons,
and whether they fled the Anglo-Saxons.
