This world to the next / the nowhere poems

Carry
me weary
to the
boat
my friend

and then
ferry me
true
to the
other side,

empty my
pockets
of hoard
and greed.

that at

times made

me petty

and blind.

sing me

my story

anthem.

pay the
Ferry man

his due.

bleed me
out of
sin and
doubt.

color me

the lion

the father

the husband
all true.

A time / the nowhere poems

and your
bare breasted
arc is
a God's
reflection.

held captive
upon your
bedroom
mirror.

and deep
inside
your breasts
I harbor

my love's
content.

beyond all
measure that
I have
ever known.

and as
I turn to
take your
hand,

we blend
towards
the morning
light.

and I

could
not

love you

more.

my back
