A courtship of sorts / the nowhere poems

In the
corner
of your
fairy
tale
life.

your
beauty
holds
fast ,

like a
falling
star
forever
leaving
it's
firelight
into
the black.

I see
you.

walking
across
your
bedroom
floor,

with the
shards
of broken
hearts
cutting
through

the callous
bottoms of

your angel

feet.

and I
know
you have
been
the final
dream
to many.

and the
last
bre...

Fox diaries / the nowhere poems

Lying

in the
dark.

have all
of your
rose petal
promises
fallen
at your
angel
feet?

is time
just
a silhouette
of tired
dreams,

lost
through
the open
windows
of your
eyes.

as your
touch
lies

unanswered.

a treasure

for true
love
to find.

waiting in
your sleep

running
when you
are
awake

to the
place,

where
the souls
of missing
people

lie.

No strings attached / the nowhere poems

A deep
drink
of you

and I
tilt back
my head.

and drive
till the
first light
of morning
breaks
the evenings
back.

I roll
down
my windows.

tear off
the rear
view
mirror.

nothing
I ever
want
to see
face
to face

again.

let all
of your
adolescent
lovers
crawl back
and hide
under
your gypsy
covers,

like
puppets
dangling
from your
strings
of desire.

yo...

Mary Jane / the nowhere poems

She is

blackballed

to her

old lovers

even

though she

might slither

back to

them now

and then.

I know for

a fact

because I

am a member

of the club.

We still

meet on Tuesdays

nights down at

the Elks.

the sloppy

stories we

tell and the

sighs that

can still be heard.

we sing them

to one another

Trish irish poems / the nowhere poems

You come
to me
dressed in
solitude
from
a place
that can't
be seen,

or touched
or understood
in the
brief
time we
live and
laugh and
cry aloud.

stale coffee
stranded in
your morning
coffee cup.,

curtains leaking
morning light
across your
bed..

in your head
you awkwardly
dance through

hundreds of old
pointless conversations.

sunset beach confessions / the nowhere poems

Handle with care,

the older I get,

the emptier

my southern

comfort whiskey

glass appears..

falling from

your bright

baby blue eyes

can always be

hazardous

to my health.

begging for

your love

I have

lived too

long in

the humiliation,

so much so

that now

it almost

feels like

home.

old grumpy man Lester / the nowhere poems

For 35 years

he would

man his little

starters golf shop

and each time

my sons and I

would dread

seeing him

there .

but we golfed

and he complained

about life

his wife

his dog

his general lot

in life.

and he

took no responsibility

with any

of it,

He woke up

that morning

and said

to his wife

that Tom P...

Her sun

the taste of her

a empty

White popcorn skies / the nowhere poems

Once I believed

that happiness

was you and I

dancing riding across

white popcorn skies.

sometime ago

I lost that

dream.

and now If you

stay for

a moment

and watch with

the stealth

of an alley cat

over an evening

gopher hole,

you will see

too that there

is nothing

if not a

belly full

of lies

in her eyes.

Siren love

give me

pleasure

as I

The sitting poems 1

Under a

burnt Cimmaron

sky afternoon,

on your

window seal

you sit.

there is

a breaking

of sighs

in your eyes.

something

remembered

or perhaps

something

lost,

that just lies

or flees

outside your

grasp.

runaway dreams

that now

scatter like

broken birds

in flight

across your eyes.

and what
