Breakfast at the Hotel Eureka

From the lovely breakfast room of the Hotel Eureka

I can see a heron atop a houseboat

And a steady stream of bicycles crossing the Amstel.

I can hear the iconic sound of a tram bell,

The clatter of wheels on the rails they run on,

And the tinkling bells of the Zuiderkerk carillon.
