Luimneach tá sé faoi Soinéad [a Limerick about a Sonnet]
I composed this in my head whilst laid wide-eyed and sleepless at about four this morning.
Comments from native Irish speakers concerning my attempts at Irish are most welcome.
I’m attempting to stick to the Munster usage to avoid confusing myself more than I already am!
I’m itching to compose a sonnet,
One’s lurking here, under my bonnet:

Clocking out
It's all in the mind they say
Hopes and dreams at the end of another day
Clocking in and clocking out is a waster's way to live
We should be thriving and conniving to forge a life of our own
It's all well and good 'clocking-in' and 'clocking-out'
But I want to live before time runs out
Watching the clock all day, tick-tocking all the way
What's the point in it all anyway?

Diplopia
When I consider how my light is bent
My two eyes capturing two converging scenes,
I wonder truly how my time was spent

Which fresnal screens do partially correct

in the sense that intelligence is merely a concept
in the sense that a creator bestowed it upon us

Rhyme And Reason

It is only that.... I believe.

Like Her
I wish I was more like her.
The way she searches the stars makes the fireworks seem cursed.
I felt it since the first time, I laid eyes, I was immersed.
Her beauty was a habit and her love was like a purge.
She cured me from my sadness and all the sins I’d stir.
Trust me it was rebirth, the light inside her soul had given me a burn and then there were her curves.
I never felt...

Hanging
I remember everything, even the type of ring you wanted.
The type of things most would've forgotten.
I was there listening, came through with everything I promised.
That's knowledge for you.
That’s knowledge for you.
You were my favorite subject and I passed all those classes plus I’d hang right after school.
Always hanging onto you, but now we let go and I can’t hang to an excus...
