The World through Eve's Eyes
Once upon a time,
there was a boy named Adam
and a woman named Eve.
They say God formed us from dust,
but it was not the same dust.
His was clean,
mine still clung to the earth —
warm, messy, alive.
We were told we were equals,
but I learned early
that equality has conditions.
Adam named the animals.
Adam named the stars.
Adam even named me.
And I smiled,
because I was taught ...

We are grateful for you, men — for the ones who listen without rushing to fix, for the ones who hold space, who lift us without strings. We see the hands that help, the shoulders that share the weight, the eyes that meet ours without shrinking or swallowing us whole.
