forgetting (Remove filter)

Don't let me forget

I am scared I will forget you.
Forget your voice.
Forget your face.
Forget your smell.
Forget each moment.
I walk on with my heart lodged in my throat. Wondering when it will make me choke.
But how can I choke on a broken heart?

Forgetting Me Suits You

You look better than for ages

A healthy bloom on your skin

The way you walk so boldly

Proudly holding up your chin

Of course, you didn't see me

I LOVED YOU TOO, LE...

where there is

an absence of colour,

where the sound

where the light

is masked by

dense grey mist.

That’s where

I miss you

the most.

When it rains

a greasy rain,

when the cracked bell

clangs,

when the planets

are misaligned.

What We Leave Behind (and what we take)

You told me I was worthy of more, but always convinced me to stay

But today

Today I leave our bedroom the way it was left this morning

Cushions and pillows adorning the bed

we chose for this life together

A shared bathroom that won't be shared anymore

Two shelves, one mostly empty

A walk in wardrobe, filled once with fabric that clothed us

Only now it is bare with...
