Demon

The voices in my head so loud and chaotic,
making my thoughts and actions oh so psychotic.

An endless hurricane of whispers and screams,
manifesting memories in my haunted dreams.

When I close my eyes I see his repelling gaze,
laying on my bared skin as my mind goes haze.

The dimlit room turns into my minds prison,
restraining me forever as the demon has risen.

What the songs tell us

We’re not deep enough

we risk nothing

tip-toeing around what we want

never knowing

We’ve a fear of death

as if it could be avoided

we won’t be hurt

not if we can help it

Voyeurs of the world

we could never hold it

thinking we can control it

we’re left alone as a result

As basically it all been sh*t

The plasterer he hasn’t come

And plastering has not been done

Instead it  sits in powder form

In its bag all forlorn

Waiting to be mixed to paste

Then troweled on with undue haste

Summer is…

An early morning sunrise

Pale light creeping in

Through net-covered windows

Quiet stillness at the start of the day

Blossoms, nodding on fragile stems

Golden corn swaying in a light breeze

A time when storm clouds gather

Don't just be a number

To be alive

To feel alive was such a great feeling.

To enjoy every single breath,

To savour every bite,

To have a spring in every step,

To experience sad and still look forward to happy,

To see the thorns and yet plan for flowers,

Now its same day after day.

Its good, happy, sweet, safe,

But its not the same.

To feel alive was such a great feeling.
