January 2020 Collage Poem: Famous People I've Never Met

In the new dawn of dreams

Adolf sits on his final throne of dirt dug deep,

Wondering if the English Bard would have loved him so,

Don’t go down that street!

We are wild-walking beings with a side of dark heart.

Sheep have beautiful contours and very furry

Hurry up Steinbeck, you’re rambling

Kiss

A billion light years away from now

Seems to be our last mutual smile

waving a thousand times -

and yet couldn't stop

I'm looking at that dim lit window

as cold rain struggles to freeze white -

And in there are my mad life's beauties,

as I lean against the first of January's nights

Early January Snow Blues

There is calmness

Like a Buddhist prayer

On the road

When it snows

And cars are afraid

To come down it.

There is softness

In the trees rustling

When the wind

Shakes it off

Which reminded me

Of my father

When he used

To shake off his boots

Before he stepped back inside

After gritting

The front path.

And as it gets so...
