Game for two

I opened the front door and she just had her boots
Standing in front of me with sexy confidence
The light dimly on her, her curves in opulence
Wanting a reaction of swelling attributes

Looking up and pausing at her beautiful smile
Then down a bit further to her amazing tits
Her nipples glistening with the hardened pink bits
Perfection in my eyes as I stare her profile

The mound of her ...

But every night it feels like more

When I get in and clear my head

I want you but get me instead.

Though misplaced socks and sleeping mask

Make through the week a simpler task

The Waiting Room

Sat here waiting
Stupid posters on the wall
Like knowing 1/4 matters
Mental health for all.

The chairs are stained and dirty,
Water fountain broke,
Magazines outdated.
Even leaflets on a stroke.

The receptionist she mumbles,
Or is it the glass screen,
Protects her from the patients,
Ring bells - they are unclean.

Mental or a leper,
It really doesn't matter.

Chariots of the Sun

This poem is a short affirmation and image of a small holiday island some eleven miles offshore from Fremantle, Western Australia. It began as a prison for aboriginal men and boys after 1838, and from 1902 served as a gubernatorial retreat from the intense summer heat. It is sear and dry, bereft of natural surface water, and now is a watery playground for fishers, boaters, surfers and many others....

Your Poetry #2

Work up a sweat raking fallen leaves
then you can burn them all
but one you find that clings
to the back of your hat
be it multi-coloured or brown
make space for it within a hardback book
(until rascals unearth it and
destroy it in their play!)
congratulations-
you have a poem.

To The Addicts Of The World

To The Addicts Of The World

Cunning baffling and powerful are the words used to describe,
The truth of what addiction is, it will take your life with a knife.
Everything you thought you were becomes lost,
All that you cherish and love, gone at what cost?

Millions of people struggle everyday and it's truly tough,
Knowing that one is too many and a thousand never enough.

The hardest part

Have you ever tried to kill yourself by holding your breath?
No one's ever died from a lack of sleep...
(I dare you not to try it)
The hardest part of forgetting is when you remember.

Double check yourself, and down it goes.
Get ready, hold on, and jump out of the plane!
Hear the rush, gasp for breath, and let those bells ring.
Jump on that train, follow those tracks.

Unconditional Yet Confused Love

I loved you with all my heart,

But you fucked me over and over.

I cared about you,

I kept you in my mind like a soul in a body,

But did not know

that body was a prison.

I would do anything for you

But you would not even think of me.

I tried to make it all stop

But you were just way too contagious.

I woke up in the middle of night just to look at you

But little I kn...

Other Girl

Girl is really happy.

Girl is never not smiling.

Girl laughs, and everyone

hears an echo of daffodils and butterscotch.

Other Girl is not all that happy.

Other Girl has no desire to smile.

Other Girl hears laughter,

But only registers a mockery of her self-loathing.

Girl is home to syrupy voice,

An open bowl of batter

With only sweet things inside.

Ode to the keyboard

I found I have lost the tactile need for penmanship as it has been replaced with the clickity-clack of the keyboard. No more broad sweeps or stylish curvatures. Just the tap, tap, tap, of the keyboard. A writing as easily placed and understood as my neighbors, seemingly indifferent, other than context, if you get my meaning. My fingers meet at the index, feeling the familiar raised etching, from t...

Blessed with Worldly Poverty

Can you imagine waking up every morning to slave for a wicked house?

Im at the lowest part of my life in this world,

But the highest point in my life with God.

Im poor

Yet rich.

Im oppressed

Yet free.

I am a slave

Yet I am proud to slave for the Most High.

I cant complain even though I dont have much.

I thank God for what I have.

I have not in this world,

Could it be President Trump who has some Scottish blood in his veins .  Also has a quantity of Yorkshire blood in them . Giving him Grit and Determination to succeed like Yorkshire folk do . Speaks his mind and never looks back . What ever you do or how hard you try to degrade him he will fight for what is right . When challenged will always fight back .

It's three fifty three and I'm need of saving

Work is a bore

Same old tedious chore

Can you believe there are no windows?

My eyes despise this heat

Each day is stuffy

Man, I'm sweaty and sleepy

Sure

Artificial lighting makes a dull scene

Non-scenic scene

The same old seen scene

Every day for what feels like an age

Modern Valentine

The world has changed.
In the comfort of my living room
Like an Amazon order, my modern Valentine was there,
available. Delivery in business 3 days.

The blue background of his profile picture
Replaced the romance underneath the blue skies
Which is fine.
We don`t get much of those in London anyway.

There were no whispers of love or lust
We exchanged bits and clicks.

I am Certain

In every city, I go.

In every country, I have been.

The Star and the Cross hope,

That he will be with us one day.

They call him by different names,

And claim him as theirs.

Both preaching similar faiths,

Both saying they are correct.

One says he is yet to come,

While the other hopes for him again.

One says he is the son of God,

Time Will Heal

When he left me I was alone,

I cried but I tried to laugh, but then, I cried again.

It has been hundreds of days since I've heard the word "I love you"

You are mine, you’re my only.

I've been wanting to hear those words again.

But when I tried to remember how you say those words,

I felt pain, excruciating enough that I felt like I'm dying..

My only love has betrayed me,

ANOTHER VALENTINE

In Thiepval's rows in line abreast

Subaltern Venner lies at rest,

Among those with whom he died in war,

Sacrificed - aged twenty four.

Not for him whispered words of love,

Instead, it's hoped he dwells above

With his pals, the angels among,

In timeless kinship ever young.

Today, of mind, he comes to mine,

My uncle - Ernest Valentine.

I love you isn't enough

This repetitious revery is fluffy and flowery but LOVE is REAL...

It's formed by us and fitted to our forms. By us. But its form is defined and real.

It may have started off as fluffy as the air we breathe, filled with light and butterflies. But now it's mostly solid. It fits to me and fits to you and it doesn't float away when you blow it. It has weight and substance.
I think real love is...

Held tightly against my heart

Oh, but you will use your gift
