WORDS & MUSIC COLLABORATIONS - Two Day Workshop

The aim of the workshops is to enable six writers and six musicians to work for two days in collaborations experimenting with the combination of text and sound stretching the boundaries of music and using words and sound in abstract/atmospheric ways.

National Poet Supports York Fundraiser!

Martin Caplan R.I.P.

Martin passed away peacefully at Bolton hospice on the 7th August 2009.

He wrote humorous, plaintive, home, war, hospital and performance poetry.

He was published in local papers and was a member of Bank Street Writers.

He will be missed by all who knew him at Write Out Loud.

May he rest in peace.

Cafe Writers Poetry Competition 2010

The Cafe Writers Open Poetry competition has a closing date of 30th November 2010.

First prize is £1,000, second £300 and five commended prizes of £50. £150 prize for the funniest poem, not winning another prize. There's also a £100 Norfolk prize awarded to the best poem from a permanent Norfolk resident.
