An open mic night for musicians, poets and story-tellers; and it is recorded for radio. A friendly night in a cosy bar, featuring a variety of great performances?
In December 2010, open mic host Charlie Allen and local radio station Manchester 106.6 FM launched a new initiative recording the open mic night and broadcasting selected highlights and artist interviews. The open mic segment of the show goes out between 11pm and midnight every Friday. You can tune in on 106.6m, or listen online all over the world at www.northmanchesterfm.org
The open mic is hosted by singer/songwriter/composer Charlie Allen and attracts an audience of music lovers, artists and performers who will give you a very friendly reception and, who knows, you could end up on the radio!
So, for a warm welcome and a chance to take your act to the world, come along and join us, every Tuesday. Admission FREE.
But get there early (before 8.30) to be sure of getting a slot!
