Bristol vs London Poetry Slam

Bristol vs London Poetry Slam on Thursday 24 Sept 2009 at Hall 2, Colston Hall, Colston Street, Bristol BS1 5AR. 7.30pm start. Tickets £10. Four of Bristol's best performance poets will face off against four of London's most-happening spoken word artists. They will be judged by the audience's applause and a panel of judges.

Bristol slammers are:

London's slammers are:
Cynthia Hamilton
Keith Jarrett
The Brother's Grim
Jasmine Cooray
With special guest Matt Harvey

Star of TV and Radio. A comedy-infused, poetically enhanced, wonder-filled poet, who celebrates subjects as diverse as kippers and curtains, IT and potatoes, petty theft, pain relief and public nudity.

The event is jollied along by Bristol's favourite slam hosts, Glenn Carmichael & Claire Williamson.
Expect an entertaining evening of the best spoken word in Britain (it says here!).
