Biography

I have been writing and performing in the north west for over 10 years, in one capacity or another, including performance poetry, prose, monologues, panto and theatre.
It has been said that "Emma speaks from the heart, with edgy, witty and inspiring words. Often coming from a very personal place, and not shy of embracing the dark, she speaks to those places in all of us with sometimes heady honesty, humour, insight, and ultimately celebration. Be prepared to smile, feel, and think."
I don't know if it goes without saying on these profile things, but if anyone is into booking me for poetry gigs, guest slots, etc, I'd be delighted to hear from you! Cheers

Hi Emma. I really enjoyed it at the Bramsch on Tuesday. A smashing crowd and a lovely venue.

Please thank all your fellow organisers for a good night.

Cheers
Mike

Loved your fantastic hare poem at WOL tonight, can you post it up on here? Win x

Would it even be possible to post up a pic of the painting that inspired it with the words in the blog entry?

Good luck Emma. I'm sure that your father will be accompanying you in some way on your journey. I lost my partner nearly three years ago (mum and dad gone too). After the initial year, for me, there was a definite "wing spreading" feeling. I haven't done anything as exciting as you are going to do, but I went on a wildlife survey off the wild and windy Scottish coast (sea sick the whole time!), started to sing, played a big drum in the local carnival with my face painted black and red, and began to write poetry. Maybe we just think "why the hell not!" So enjoy your trip and your life. xx
