no performances as yet, i am new to this poetry lark. I hope to perform at some point. i am based in Hebden Bridge in West Yorkshire and use things i experience (usually heartbreak unfortunately!!) as inspiration.

i wait by the post box each morning

something big is coming my way

it's packaged up oh so nicely

but i hope here's a huge delay



each day that passes, the parcel grows

and gets heavier by the pound

i hope, en route it disappears

and stays lost in the lost and found



the parcel is sent with love by you

so why am i not excited?

it's what's inside that scares me so

that leaves me less than delighted



until it arrives, i'll live in denial

and get all the joy i can take

the day will come, it'll land with a thud

on it's way in the post- heartbreak
